The email from J. Michael Straczynski, the writer & producer of the hit Sci-Fi TV series ‘Babylon 5’ that kept Sam’s writing career alive.

Much of the inspiration for Dawn of Empire comes from Babylon 5, and the author learned much about writing arcs and character development from watching JMS develop plots and characters on B5. There are several references to B5 in Dawn of Empire, and the other stories as well.
